About Conor

IMG_0557siteConor Standish, born in Cleveland, Ohio, is a singer-songwriter and self-taught rhythm guitarist who started playing music in 8th grade. Inspired by songwriters like Dave Matthews and Ryan Adams, Conor began writing his own songs and eventually started “The Trip C’s” with Chris Rush (bass) and their friend Chris Walling who played harmonica. After moving down to Athens, Ohio to attend Ohio University, Conor started The Burning River Ramblers with Chris Rush and eventually met Jesse Catania (drums) when he delivered a pizza to Conor’s apartment, which sparked the beginning of something special. In 2011 after their release of their first album, Conor won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest “Love Song of the Year” competition for his song “Stranger on the Street”.
